Shell India and Ohmium International united for zero emissions

Shell India, in conjunction with Ohmium International, signed a “Memorandum of Understanding.” They agree to collaborate on applications, markets, and opportunities for green hydrogen projects in it.

Ohmium International is a company dedicated to green hydrogen in charge of manufacturing and implementing PEM electrolyzers. Furthermore, its new collaboration with Shell India assesses applications, markets, and project opportunities for hydrogen in India and the world.

An important point to note is the efforts of both companies to launch joint working groups as part of their collaboration. With this, it intends to evaluate the opportunities from a technical, commercial, and security perspective for instance.

“We have set an ambitious goal of becoming a net-zero emissions business by 2050 with a target to reduce absolute emissions by 50% by 2030. Green hydrogen has a critical role in helping the world reach zero emissions. We plan to develop integrated hydrogen hubs to serve the industry and heavy-duty transport to be a leading player in this space. This MoU with Ohmium is a step in our journey. We want to work with Ohmium to make this a productive collaboration that would help us make our Hydrogen projects most competitive. Also, we are keen to explore all opportunities to work with all our contract partners to drive competitiveness in our projects continuously.”, said Nitin Prasad, Chairman, Shell Group of Companies in India
