About the grant

Indeed, Hess Corporation’s grant to JRF includes $1 million to support the new Jackie Robinson Museum; particularly, this asset is currently under construction in New York City. Once completed, this museum will serve as a venue for innovative educational programming and dialogue on critical social issues.

On the other hand, the remaining $400,000 will provide four-year scholarships and support services as part of the JRF Scholarship Program. Thus, Hess Corporation will award five underrepresented college students starting in the fall of 2021 with the funding.

Additionally, Hess Corporation will provide internship opportunities for JRF Scholars. Thus, the company will achieve its goal of delivering five Hess JRF Scholar internships per year starting in 2022.
