Lion Electric expands colab with FLO for the delivery of EV charging units

Lion Electric, a leading North American manufacturer of electric vehicles, announced an expansion of its collaboration with FLO and its parent company Add Energie; this new chapter would enable Lion to deliver FLO’s technology on EV charging units to its customers.

FLO it’s a leading provider of EV charging units and EV infrastructure, while Add Energie provides smart charging technology and software. The agreement with Lion considers the procurement of FLO’s and Add Energie’s charging stations, including AC and DC smart charges, as well as digital technology such as energy management cloud and software services.

Now, a team of specialists in infrastructure and energy management will join Lion Electric, and FLO’s portfolio will be added to Lion’s. This will facilitate Lion’s mission in educating and guiding its customers step by step, from the equipment selection, installation and operation.

The announcement was made this Tuesday during the IMPULSION MTL International Fleet Forum, where executives from both companies participated.

In this regard, Marc Bedard, CEO and founder of Lion, said: “Adequate energy management is an essential factor to reduce total cost of ownership of electric vehicles; FLO’s expertise in smart charging is another opportunity for us to offer Lion Energy customers products and services that will help maximize their return on investment.

“This partnership demonstrates the shared vision of two North American leaders; in transportation, electrification, and we are excited to see what the future brings for our two companies,” he added.

On his side, Louis Tremblay President and CEO of FLO and Add Energie, added; “Our collaboration with Lion started in 2015; it has helped FLO develop innovative and relevant charging solutions for medium and heavy-duty electric transportation.”

“As this particular segment is now ripe for accelerated growth, we are delighted to be working with an industry leader like Lion to efficiently power fleets, and ultimately put more zero- emission vehicles on the road today and into the future,” he concluded.

With over 300 electric vehicles on the road in North America, Lion Electric will potentiate its efforts on the electric vehicle transition. On the other hand, FLO, with its offer of EV charging equipment will consolidate its software and infrastructure solutions all over North America.
