Enel Green Power Canada started the construction phase of the 152MW Grizzly Bear Creek wind farm in the province of Alberta.
Wind farm project
Firstly, the Alberta Utilities Commission granted an updated permit for the project. The initial phase is the construction work, which includes the turbine installation.
Secondly, the project, includes 34 turbines. The farm will generate generate 528 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year.
Thirdly, the facilities are located in the counties of Minburn and Vermilion River. Along the construction it will give job to more than 250 people.
Moreover, the wind farm will generate permanent jobs for operations and maintenance.
Also, the project is expected to have a 30-year lifetime. Along these years landowners will receive a paymente for the use of their lands and generate over C$80m in local tax revenues.

The wind farm will start operations this year.
