GIG launches Cero Generation, a new solar company with an 8 GW portfolio

This morning, Macquire’s Green Investment Group (GIG) announced has launched Cero Generation. In fact, this firm is a new solar company for the European market with an 8-gigawatt portfolio.

Indeed, the launch consolidates GIG’s existing solar activities across Europe. For example, Cero Generation already hosts one of the largest portfolios in the region.

In fact, the company currently has over 150 projects across the U.K, Italy, Spain, Poland, France and the Netherlands. Altogether form an 8 GW portfolio.

Nevertheless, the company will also have presence in North America, through Savion LLC and Blueleaf Energy. Furthermore, with Cero Generation, these platforms will intend to expand 20 GW pipeline of solar energy projects.

In the same way, the new company specializes in project lifecycle management, from development, through construction and operation. Also, in the delivery of utility-scale projects, as well as onsite generation and integrated storage.

Specifically, Cero’s projects offer strategic opportunities for investors to acquire solar assets ready to build, or fully commissioned.

Cero Generation will have presence in North America

Similarly, the company develops, finances, builds, owns and operates assets for commercial and industrial customers.

In fact, Nikolaj Harbo, the company’s CEO, said: “in just two years, GIG created one of Europe’s largest solar development portfolios and assembled a world-class team of experts.”

“Our ambition is to continue on this phenomenal growth trajectory; consequently, transforming Cero into Europe’s leading solar energy company, and helping deliver the continent’s net-zero ambition.”

While, Edward Northam, Head of GIG U.S., concluded. “The launch of Cero Generation marks an important milestone in GIG’s ambition to create Europe’s leading solar development company.”
