ACP CEO states about the January 6th events at the Capitol

ACP Capitol

American Clean Power Association’s CEO, Heather Zichal, has stated about the recent events at the U.S. Capitol that shocked the American people, as the nation transitions to a new presidential term. In her words, ACP is ready to work with nation’s leaders to restore faith in American Democracy.

The former Deputy Assistant for the president Barack Obama, and just recently named the CEO of the multi-technology association, pronounced upon the historical events that took place in one the most iconic U.S. buildings: the violent seizure of the Capitol by Trump supporters.

As we reported previously, a group of Trump supporters, summoned by the president himself via Twitter, stormed the U.S. Capitol in attempts to stop the electoral count that would’ve given president-elect Joe Biden the official win.

The angry mob surrounded the building and then, by force, breached Capitol’s security and entered the building. Video footage and pictures taken during the seizure flooded social media, and the overall event was captured almost live by TV news channels.

As to now, there are 5 people confirmed death during the tragic events, and Donald Trump’s accounts in social media were restricted for nearly 12 hours. After the events, taken by some as a terrorist attack, and by others as a confirmation of the ugliest side of America’s history of racism and segregation, Donald Trump finally admitted his loss and assured a smooth power transition.

ACP working in restoring U.S.’s economy

As head of America’s multi-technology, renewable industry cluster, Heather Zichal, said the January 6th events were shocking to watch. “Watching a violent mob storm the U.S. Capitol earlier this week was devastating as an American, but specially as a long time Capitol staff member.

“This Attack on our democratic process is made only more despicable by the fact that it threatened the lives of thousands of talented men and women on both sides of the aisle; who go to work in those sacred halls each day, because they believe in the values this country stands for,” Zichal said.

“At a time when our nation is facing enormous challenges, the members of American Clean Power (ACP) stand ready to work with our nation’s leaders to rebuild our economy and restore faith in our democracy; recognizing that our nation’s greatest strength lies in our diversity,” she concluded.

As of now the Federal Bureau of Investigation is confirming the identity of many of the rioters to hold them accountable. The ACP, on the other side, has confirmed a $1 trillion in capital investment for renewables in the U.S.’s economy over the next decade.
