Schneider Electric North America’s CEO Annette Clayton Joins Qmerit Board of Directors

Today, Annette Clayton, Schneider Electric North America’s CEO, joined as a member of Qmerit’s Board of Directors. Accordingly, Clayton will leverage her expertise in automotive, technology, energy, and sustainability industries. Headquartered in Irvine, California, Qmerit simplifies the adoption of electrification products for residential and small business markets.

In this sense, Qmerit said in a statement that Annette Clayton stands out even in this group, combining a deep understanding of energy, supply chains, and the automotive industry.

About Annette Clayton

Currently, Clayton serves as the CEO and President of North America Operations for Schneider Electric. Indeed, she drives business strategy in an operating region with 30,000 employees that generated over $8.8bn in sales throughout 2020.

In addition, North American Schneider Electric’s CEO has led Schneider Electric’s multi-billion-dollar Global Supply Chain operation upon her arrival in 2011 through 2019. Accordingly, she did so by managing supply chains across 207 manufacturing factories and 98 distribution centers in 44 countries.

Similarly, Clayton transformed Dell’s fulfillment model and oversaw their manufacturing in the Americas. Besides, she changed their order management and cared operations on 20 sites in 16 countries.

On the automotive side, she served in senior roles for the General Motors Corporation in various production, engineering, and management positions between 1983 and 2006.

She currently chairs the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and is on the National Association of Manufacturers. Worth noting, Clayton also serves on the boards of AlphaStruxure and Uplight, aiming to accelerate clean energy transformation.
