In the Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization program, it supports innovation in technologies. It also focuses on the adoption of practices that allow the industrial sector. In this way, it is possible to reduce greenhouse gas emissions cost-effectively.

Industrial emission reduction technologies are emphatically included in the program. Similarly, industrial energy efficiency, electrification, low-carbon fuels, and raw materials are sought. The capture and use of CO₂ and other technologies are taken into account.

All these efforts are intended to reduce dependence on foreign energy resources. It will only be done by reducing the energy intensity of its economy and reducing the industry’s environmental impact on the communities. As another plus point, there will be cost-effective improvements that will improve US competitiveness.

Other objectives of the Manufacturing Technologies and Advanced Materials program are to research, develop and display next-generation materials. At the same time, they are using clean energy manufacturing technologies to increase US industrial competitiveness and drive decarbonization.
