Electricity Transformation Canada 2022

Canada is transforming its electricity system

Wind energy and solar energy are the least expensive forms of new energy generation, and we have barely scratched the surface of their potential. The future is clean, reliable and sustainable. But no single technology can meet all the demand on its own.

Moreover, hybrid projects that leverage wind energy and solar energy are the best and most cost-effective solutions. Working together with energy storage, these technologies can provide a constant flow of electricity to consumers by combining their peak generation periods; nighttime for wind energy and daytime for solar energy.

Also, this synergistic relationship will also open doors to deliver customized energy solutions and establish community-based micro-grids.

ETC Toronto, Canada 2022

Firstly, RE+ Events, Hannover Fairs, and the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) announced a partnership. They will  host Electricity Transformation Canada (ETC). It is Canada’s premier renewable energy conference and exhibition.

Secondly, this year’s ETC will take place October 26-28 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Ontario, Canada.

Canada has ambitious goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent from 2005 levels by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050. This will mean a radical and rapid transformation for our energy system. Fortunately, the wind, solar, and energy storage industries are up to the challenge.

Robert Hornung, president and CEO of the Canadian Renewable Energy Association.

Canada, towards a sustainable electricity system

Specially, ETC will highlight the need to expand and accelerate the deployment of wind, solar, and energy storage and their integration into Canada’s electricity system. Additionally, this is to support national greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets.

ETC is a vital platform for the Canadian clean energy market. We look forward to supporting CanREA and ETC’s mission to create a modern, sustainable electricity system in Canada.

Energy solutions for now

Moreover, the three-day event will provide a platform for renewable energy leaders to connect, collaborate and advance the industry by showcasing the best wind, solar, and energy storage solutions to distributors, engineers, financiers, installers, and manufacturers.

Finally, ETC was developed by the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) in partnership with Hannover Fairs Mexico. Also, adding RE+ Events to this partnership will contribute to greater success in 2022 and beyond.
