CEMEX USA today announced that it has been named US EPA ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for the third consecutive year. Thus, the Company earned the 2021 Sustained Excellence Award from the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy.

In fact, this award recognizes the Company’s leadership in energy management. It also awards CEMEX’s longstanding commitment to sustainability.

CEMEX USA named for the third consecutive year as EPA ENERGY STAR Partner

Today, CEMEX USA announced it has been named US EPA ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for the third consecutive year. Accordingly, the Company received the 2021 Sustained Excellence Award from the US EPA and US DOE.

Indeed, this award recognizes the Company’s leadership in energy management and longstanding commitment to sustainability.

In fact, the Sustained Excellence Award is the highest honor given by the ENERGY STAR program. Additionally, CEMEX USA received an award for its Miami Cement Plant. Thus, the Company received an ENERGY STAR Certification for the tenth consecutive year in 2020 for its energy management efforts.

Furthermore, since 2007, the Company’s operations earned more than 50 ENERGY STAR certifications. Also, dozens of its cement terminals and ready-mix concrete operations have the ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry award.

Reception and the importance of having companies with sustainability commitments

“Sustainability is an integral part of our business strategy, and we continue to seek additional opportunities to embed it into our daily operations further,” said CEMEX USA President Jaime Muguiro.
