RAM Consulting acquires Encepta and Horizon Engineering

RAM Consulting

RAM Consulting, a Vancouver-based construction management, and multi-disciplinary engineering services company, announced this Thursday it has acquired two notable BC companies; Encepta Corporation, and Horizon Engineering.

Firstly, RAM Consulting is one of Canada’s fastest growing companies; the acquisition will allow it to offer a more robust and comprehensive offering of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services.

Secondly, on the one hand, Encepta is a powerhouse in both telecommunication engineering and data analytics; indeed, it is well-known as a technologically advanced and enabled professional services firm; while on the other hand, Horizon is a geotechnical engineering firm with extensive local experience; and which is also renowned for providing project and industry leadership.

Moreover, the acquisitions follow RAM’s strategic investments, aimed at positioning it as a leading EPCM firm in Western Canada. Such growth, as well as the acquisition will also enable the company to provide better services for its clients; like BC Hydro, FortisBC, Metro Vancouver and government institutions like the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and local municipalities.

About such matter, RAM Principal, Joe Di Placito, said. “This consolidation of technical expertise creates a significant and complete service offering in design; inspection, and also, comprehensive project management.”

Furthermore, RAM Principal, Ziad Boustany, also acknowledged. “RAM, Encepta and Horizon offer complementary services; we are excited to extend and exchange our services in the geotechnical, infrastructure and also telecom sectors in Western Canada.”

On the other hand, and as outlined above, Encepta offers plant field services, design; also, inspection, and construction management; as well as big-data analytics and AI-powered models for the telecommunication sector. While Horizon offers subsurface characterization, site specific seismic ground response assessment; as well as liquefaction potential assessment, and foundation selection.

Finally, Di Placito concluded. “These acquisitions continue to position us as an employer of choice; simultaneously providing leading solutions for clients, who require the same expertise and professional capacity as the biggest consulting companies; but with agility and personal involvement that they won’t find at larger firms.”
