Ameresco partners with Hannah Solar for clean tech in Federal sector

Ameresco, the top clean technology integrator, specialized in energy efficiency and renewable energy, announced this Wednesday it is partnering with Hannah Solar Government Services; a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that deploys renewable energy solutions.

Firstly, the partnership is part of a SBA Mentor Protégé Program; which helps eligible small businesses, known as protégés; gain exposure and win government contracts through partnerships with more experienced companies, referred to as mentors.

Secondly, by entering into a joint venture with Ameresco, Hannah Solar will have the opportunity to grow as an energy provider; by learning from the Ameresco team, which is comprised of an experienced group of government contractors.

Thirdly, through the partnership, both companies will work collaboratively; to bring cleantech solutions to the Department of Veterans Affairs and also other Federal agencies.

Amaresco and Hannah Solar to evolve in their partnership

Moreover, the decision to enter the SBA program, came after Hannah Solar delivered key subcontractor solutions to Ameresco for over the past 5 years; precisely on projects that support the Department of Veteran Affairs, the U.S. Army, and also the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

In addition, Hannah Solar is a PV project developer and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm; specializing in the development, design; also, installation and maintenance of solar PV energy solutions. The group services a range of organizations from medium-scale commercial; to large-scale utility solar energy projects.

On the other hand, about the relevance of the partnership for Hannah Solar, Col. R. David McNeil, CEO, said. “Our relationship with Ameresco has evolved into a collaborative partnership; also, built on a shared passion for this industry and a desire to develop increasingly innovative solutions.”
