Boosting integrity in gas compressor stations with out-of-the-box thinking – TTS Midstream


TTS Midstream will assume the Operations and Maintenance duties of a new booster compressor station in North Florida. Accordingly, the company will install a remote monitoring system for future owners and operators to monitor the plant remotely. Also, the company said its maintenance duties in the station would allow prospective companies to maintain integrity during unmanned operations.

In fact, engineers and Technicians from TTS Midstream recently assisted the station engineering and construction teams. Therefore, the company provided help in cohmmissioning the new North Florida station.

Indeed, the station will deliver natural gas to consumers and power stations in the region. Besides, the plant consists of two high-speed separable reciprocating compressors (approx. 1900 HP ea.). Accordingly, they can operate independently or in parallel, and the plant is capable of 20 to 124 MMSCFD of natural gas.

In this sense, Dave Fry, TTS Midstream Commissioning Manager, stated, “The Team, working under a compressed schedule, utilized out-of-the-box thinking to achieve project objectives safely.
